California Restaurant Association Endorses Heartland Payment Systems as New Payroll Processing Provider

Scottsdale, AZ - The California Restaurant Association (CRA) and Heartland Payment Systems have expanded their partnership to provide CRA members with a new money saving tool, Payroll Processing Services. Heartland, a national Payments Processor, is already an endorsed provider for credit and debit card services to CRA members. This expansion to include CRA members-only payroll processing services makes their offering to the restaurant community even more complete.

Heartland's payroll division provides complete payroll processing including check printing, direct deposit, full tax services, automated check signing, tip allocation, time and attendance, employee background and screening, and handling up to 99 pay rates per restaurant location.

Sanford Brown, Senior Vice President, Hospitality Market, HPS stated, "The primary benefit for outsourcing payroll is to allow local restaurateurs to focus on running their restaurants. With Heartland's Payroll Services, restaurant owners know that their employees will be paid accurately and on time with local, state, and federal payroll compliance." Brown continued, "The best part is that we provide complete payroll services at cost-effective prices without restaurant merchants needing to administer in-house payroll programs. HPS administer the payroll process for them. And we carry the liability for all tax reporting so our merchants can focus on what they do best, serve their customers."

While the service itself is an outstanding value, CRA members will receive additional member-only discounts such as the added convenience of working with the same local representative for all of their Heartland services.

California Restaurant Association President and CEO, John Dunlap III, stated, "Our expanded partnership with Heartland is a great opportunity for our members who wish to simplify their operations and save money, too. Over the past several years, Heartland Payment Systems has provided a "best-in-class" service to CRA members with their credit card processing program. We are convinced their payroll processing programs, which are tailored to the restaurant industry, will provide the same outstanding service and value, while allowing our restaurant members to simplify their lives by working with a single organization for all their payment processing needs."
